Sandy Holman has presented to thousands of youth and adults on a variety of topics such as cultural diversity, alcohol and drug prevention, resiliency, character education, parent involvement, self esteem, collaboration, team-building and communication skills. She has especially focused on the importance of helping people to learn about others who are different from themselves and in helping individuals learn about their own heritage.

Sandy Holman founded The Culture C.O.-O.P. to assist individuals and organizations in working with and/or addressing diversity in education, business and the community. She has served as a consultant to numerous organizations, both locally and nationally, to help meet the needs of diverse populations and has committed herself to advocacy for children in education. Her vast experiences as a counselor, outreach consultant, prevention coordinator, trainer and author, have given her a practitioner's insight into the challenges diverse communities and organizations are facing that goes well beyond theoretical research.

Sandy has served on the Board of Directors of local and national agencies serving youth and adults, including the National Dropout Prevention Network. She has received numerous awards and honors, and was recognized by the State of California for her implementation of a model program in one of California's identified at risk schools. Her innovation in approaching difficult issues has had a tremendous impact on those she has encountered, and she is especially known for her ability to make people feel comfortable sharing their concerns and fears with people from different backgrounds.
Sandy received her B.A in Psychology from the University of California at Davis and her M.S in School Counseling from California State University, Sacramento. She is an award winning author who is currently developing a line of multicultural books for youth designed to increase awareness and appreciation for diversity. Her first children's book "Grandpa, is everything Black Bad?", has been used in educational institutions throughout the country and is considered a classic by those focusing on multicultural endeavors. The second book in the series is called "We All Have A Heritage," and is now available for purchase.
